Commercial Finance Director, Chorley

I am currently recruiting for a Private Equity backed fast-growing, purpose-led organisation. As Commercial Finance Director this is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving financial performance, supporting strategic growth, and partnering closely with senior leadership across the business.

You’ll play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, improving decision-making through insight and analysis, and ensuring the business is well-positioned to deliver sustainable growth. Key responsibilities will include:

• Lead the commercial finance function, providing strategic financial insight across the organisation
• Partner closely with Executive and Operational leadership teams to support business performance and decision-making
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario modelling processes
• Deliver meaningful analysis around revenue, margin, pricing, and operational performance
• Identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements across the business
• Support strategic growth initiatives, including business expansion and investment decisions
• Develop and enhance financial models, KPIs, and reporting frameworks to improve commercial visibility
• Provide clear, data-driven recommendations to influence business strategy and performance
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing commercial finance team
• Drive accountability and continuous improvement across financial planning and commercial processes

I’m looking for significant experience within Commercial Finance, FP&A, or strategic finance leadership roles, experience operating within a large-scale or high-growth business environment along with excellent system and Power BI skills.

This is a high-profile leadership role with strong exposure to executive decision-making whilst also giving you the ability to make a genuine impact in a purpose-driven business. There is a clear path to CFO for the right candidate.
