The Role

We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our team in Vauxhall. The role involves managing all aspects of credit control for the Client Accounts department, being the main point of contact for any rent related queries with a focus on chasing arrears and debt. Intermittently, the successful candidate will also assist with accounts receivable duties, updating tenancy information, handling deposits, and various financial reporting

Your Responsibilities as a Credit Controller:

As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for a portfolio of client accounts, managing all aspects of their financial administration with a focus on chasing rent arrears of tenants and debt due from clients. This includes responding to enquiries about statements and rents, as well as the essential function of credit control to ensure timely rent and fee collection. In addition, you will contribute to finance and tax reporting and provide operational support to the team as required, working in close collaboration with your line manager.

Your Skills and Experience:

• Having worked as a client accountant within an estate agency, you possess a solid understanding of the industry and the specific responsibilities of this position.
• You have a demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships and work effectively in a team environment.
• You have a strong customer-centric approach, prioritising client needs and satisfaction.
• You are proactive and take initiative to identify and solve problems effectively.
• Prior use of Veco software would be advantageous.
• You are able to manage challenging calls with professionalism, demonstrating strong listening skills, empathy and the ability to de-escalate difficult situations effectively.
