Layton Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Level 4 Teaching Assistant to work with our Foundation Stage pupils. The post is temporary, 37 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days; please be aware that the salary advertised is pro‑rated.

Contract: Temporary (31st August 2027)

Hours: 37.00 hours per week, Term Time Plus 1 week

Salary: NJC Grade E SCP12-17 £28,598 - £31,022 per annum, pro rata

Closing Date: 1st June 2026 12.00 Noon

The successful candidate will be required to support generally in class as well as working with selected individuals and groups of pupils.

• A willingness to work towards professional standards for Higher Level Teaching Assistant, or have acquired a qualification
• Proven skills in Literacy and Numeracy
• A love of working with Foundation Stage children
• At least 3 years’ experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage
