Provide the youngest learners with essential consistency and a reliable, set daily schedule.

Pay: £14.24 – £15.24 per hour (dependent on experience/qualification)

Hours: 08:30 – 15:30

Days: Monday – Friday (Full‑time, 32.5 hours per week)

Status: Term‑time only, temporary contract

Location: Blackpool Primaries

Choose to start either June 1st 2026 to build relationships early or secure a September 2026 start. Either route offers a strategic career move, the chance to trial school culture before a full year, and a pathway to a permanent contract.

• Lead small group activities and maintain high‑quality care.
• Ensure staff‑to‑child ratios are met at all times.
• Document observations and “wow moments” for learning journals (e.g., Tapestry or SeeSaw).
• Use imaginative play to support child‑initiated learning.
• Plan “In the Moment” activities prioritising Communication & Language, PSED and Physical Development.
• Support systematic synthetic phonics (SSP) and keep‑up sessions.
• Facilitate maths activities focused on a deep understanding of numbers 0‑10 through concrete resources and play.
• Organise engaging, open‑ended hooks to stimulate learning indoors and outdoors.

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner (L2/3 CACHE or NVQ).
• Recognised EYFS qualification.
• Deep familiarity with the seven areas of learning and the Development Matters framework.
• Strong observational skills, able to capture learning moments for journals.
• Creative ability to transform everyday objects into engaging learning experiences.
• Understanding of staff‑to‑child ratios and high‑quality care standards.
