Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (PPA Cover)

Location: Primary Schools in Blackburn, Darwen & Accrington

Job Description

We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to provide PPA cover across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 in a range of primary schools. This role involves delivering pre‑planned lessons, supporting whole‑class learning, and maintaining a positive, engaging classroom environment in the teacher's absence. You will work with a variety of classes and year groups, ensuring continuity of learning and supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prepared lessons to whole classes during PPA time
• Support pupils' learning and behaviour management
• Follow and adapt lesson materials where appropriate
• Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain a consistent learning environment
• Provide additional support to groups or individuals as directed

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Experience supporting learning across primary year groups
• Confidence delivering pre‑planned lessons to whole classes
• Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
