Job Overview
We are seeking a Gas Engineer, ideally with Basic Plumbing skills, to join our dynamic team.

Starting rate of pay will depend upon experience & skills.

Clearly - we will pay more for a fully qualified and experienced guy - as opposed to a newly qualified guy with little operational experience.

You will work a 39 hour week, administratively based from our Clydebank Office.

Mon to Thurs 8.30am to 5.00pm & on a Friday from 8.30am to 4.00pm

After initial induction & training period you will start and complete your day on site and will only be in office sporadically.

You will assist our team to service our customers across Central Scotland area.

Daily, we cover various postcodes - G, PA, ML, KA, FK, EH.

You will also be expected to participate in our On Call rota, which is around 2 nights in every 16.

We provide a modern liveried van for business use and home to office, mobile phone, uniform, PPE. We also provide all test equipment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and heating/ plumbing systems in residential settings.

We will provide ongoing training and support in areas where you may need improvement.

This role requires an understanding of gas boiler servicing +operation.

Also a good grasp of gas safety regulations & Unsafe Situations.

You should have a good understanding of basic plumbing and be prepared to participate in training to bridge any knowledge gaps.

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of gas skills and basic plumbing experience, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair gas appliances, including boilers, cookers, and heating systems.
• Conduct thorough inspections of gas installations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Through time, test and diagnose faults in Combi & system boilers.
• Trace & Repair basic plumbing issues within domestic properties. Such as ;-Blocked Toilet, Leaking Pipes, Faulty Taps etc.
• Work with our other tradespeople, including joiners and fellow gas engineers / plumbers , to complete projects efficiently.
• Report via email and job management Apps.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating directly with customers. Providing ETA’s and keeping them up to date on their repair journey.

Skills

• Hold relevant ACS qualifications in - CCN1, CENWAT1 + CKR1 as a minimum.
• Full Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
• Basic plumbing skills, sealing off pipes, blocked toilets etc.
• Excellent customer service skills, polite and mannerly.
• Clean & Tidy appearance and a careful worker.
• Be capable of managing 7 to 8 individual jobs daily. Liaising with office staff, customers and fellow workers.
