Sub/Main Assembly Fitter, Coalville

Salary: GBP14 - GBP15 per hour

Fitters Required – Coalville. Pay: Up to £15.00 per hour depending on experience. Temporary, temp‑to‑perm or permanent opportunities available.

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 07:30 to 16:30; Friday: 07:30 to 12:30.

I’m currently recruiting for multiple experienced Fitters to support an upcoming project with a busy and well‑established manufacturing business based in Coalville. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical fitting experience who is confident working in an engineering, manufacturing or heavy machinery environment.

• Mechanical fitting of heavy machinery and equipment.
• Working within a production line environment.
• Reading and understanding bespoke engineering drawings.
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Working with hydraulics and mechanical components.
• Working to tight tolerances, limits and fits.
• Supporting the safe movement of production parts.
• Meeting production targets while maintaining quality standards.
• Following health and safety guidelines at all times.

• Previous mechanical fitting experience.
• Experience working with hydraulics.
• Experience within engineering, manufacturing, plant, machinery or heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Good mechanical skills and problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Experience with crushing equipment, screening equipment, plant machinery, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or similar heavy machinery would be a strong advantage.
• Experience operating overhead cranes or jib cranes would also be beneficial.
• An understanding of lean manufacturing principles or 5S would be advantageous but is not essential.
