Position: Bank Classroom Assistant
Location: Crawley
Pay: £92.63 ‑ £98.23 per day
Hours: 8:30 am – 3:45 pm (Bank, Adhoc)
Start: ASAP

We are looking for compassionate and adaptable SEN Classroom Assistants to join the bank staff team. The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to support students with special educational needs on an as‑needed basis, covering absences and providing additional assistance during peak times.

• Provide tailored support to students with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and engage fully in school activities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of EHCPs (Education Health Care Plans) and other personalised learning strategies.
• Work closely with teachers to support the learning environment, including preparing materials and facilitating activities.
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support student well‑being and promote a positive learning atmosphere.
• Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and other staff to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to student support.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SENCO as required.
• Be available to work on short notice and adapt to different classroom settings and student needs.

• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Passion to support and empower children and young people.
• DBS on the Updates Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Commitment to safeguarding students and young people.
