Pay

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £14.18 an hour; this increases to £15.45 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours a week, with the option to work as few as 12 hours if desired.

Responsibilities

Delivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:

• Ensuring that the van and trays are clean and kept tidy/organised.
• Leaving the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as necessary.
• Washing trays as part of the tray wash process.
• Loading the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness.
• Communicating with the customer about any changes to their order, including short-code items and substitutions, offering a refund for any issues.
• Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were my own.
• Explaining to the customer that they will not be charged for substitutions.
• Delivering within the customer’s time slot.
• Calling the customer before arriving if early.
• Calling the store if running 30 or more minutes late.

• Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit.
• Be warm and welcoming, taking time to understand the customer and say thank you.
• Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within my store.
• Be energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for you.
• Share ideas with the Manager and other colleagues on improving the store for customers.
• Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months and no more than three penalty points.
