Permanent Quantity Surveyor job, Derbyshire, PLC Housebuilder, Running 3 sites simultaneously £negotiable Your new company A highly successful PLC housebuilder are seeking a permanent Quantity Surveyor to join their team in the Derbyshire office. The company have a reputation for delivering a high quality product and have a 5 star rating for customer feedback. Your new role You will be working in the Derby office and reporting into the Commercial Director. The role will involve liaising with Trade Contractor Base and identifying new contractors to add to the supply chain. You will tender for 'all risk' Road, Sewers and Plot works: and negotiate best value packages Upon provision of technical information procure work packages and pass information to buying department for scheduling and order placement you will hold pre start meetings with sub-contractors and issue arising minutes. You will also use COINS to update budgets.. The role will also involve placing subcontract order and procure packages. You will produce pre-start budget and monitor & Control Build Costs. You will report on cost-to-complete and provide commercial analysis. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in the role you will have worked as a Quantity Surveying role in the volume house building sector. You will be able to run up to 3 sites simultaneously and hold an academic qualification in a commercial related discipline. You will have a full uk driving license and excellent communication skills.
