Job Description: Experienced Social Worker within Adult Safeguarding Essential Skills: 1. A knowledge and commitment to Making Safeguarding Personal and promoting the welfare of children, young people and/or vulnerable adults. 2. Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments of need and risk and develop plans accordingly. 3. Ability to work within a service that promotes dignity, independence, choice and control whilst safeguarding vulnerable people. 4. Experience of multi-agency working to assist customers with multiple and complex needs. 5. Experience of working with partners across the public, health and social care. 6. (HCC) Experience of working within the legal framework for Adult Social Care 7. Knowledge: Apply knowledge of social sciences, law and social work practice theory. 8. Professionalism: Identify and behave as a professional social worker, committed to professional development. 9. A good working knowledge of positive risk taking, risk assessment/management and safeguarding adults. 10. Computer Literate, Minimum standard: Beginner 11. Good negotiation and influencing skills and ability to establish and maintain collaborative and constructive relationships with a wide range of people (parents/carers, schools, social workers and other agencies), achieving positive shared outcomes. 12. Professional qualification in social work i.e. Dip SW, CQSW, CSS or social work degree. 13. Proven ability in working with partner agencies in establishing effective working relationships within a multi-agency environment 14. Understanding of the principles of risk assessment and safety planning. Qualifications Required: 1. Full Driving Licence 2. Degree in Social Work or CQSA, Dip SW, CSS 3. HCPC Registration
