Fibre Splicer, Derby

Job Description Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a Fibre Engineer/ Splicer working on a project in Derbyshire. Our client has been running for over 10 years now and have a strong pipeline of work coming up around the east midlands. Responsibilities: * Strong experience working on Primary Nodes (PN) * Working on a FTTP project pulling roughly 280 fibres and installing around 6/7 poles a day * Replace the fibre without disrupting surrounding area. * Test and splice the existing fibre. * Installing fibre on OH and UG lines. Requirements: - * Must have experience using and reading an OTDR. * Needs to have a valid NOPS or smart card with UG and OH cert. * Strong background in re-splicing & Splicing. * Worked on a similar framework and experience working at height. Kit: * Must have their own van and transport * Must have splicing machine * Ideal candidate will provide their own road signs, gate guards etc. * Used / owns different testing kits but client will provide if need be.
