Residential Care Practitioner Derby Location: Childrens Residential Homes across 3 homes Starting Salary:£37,275.89 (increasing after 6-month probation) Are you an experienced childcare professional passionate about shaping young lives? We are looking for 7 Residential Care Practitioners to join our supportive team in Derby, delivering care across three childrens homes. In this role, you will help create a safe, nurturing environment that supports children and young people to thrive.The Role As a Residential Care Practitioner, youll work closely with senior colleagues to provide high-quality care to children with emotional, behavioural, or developmental needs. You will: Deliver safe, structured, and nurturing care for children and young people Support children in daily routines and activitiesParticipate in care planning, risk assessments, and team meetings Attend training and development sessions to enhance your skills Build positive, trusting relationships that promote emotional wellbeing and independence What Were Looking For Minimum 1 years experience in childrens residential care or youth work (experience with EBD advantageous)Relevant childcare qualification (as per regulatory requirements) Full UK driving licence (essential) Passion, resilience, and commitment to improving young lives Working Pattern Full-time role: 56.5 hours per week (including sleep-ins) Shift pattern: 08:00 23:00 plus sleep-in and 08:0008:30 handover the following day3-week rolling rota, averaging 10 shifts per month Total monthly hours including training and meetings: approx. 244.5 Benefits Competitive salary with progression after probation Generous annual leave: 360 hours per year Structured rota offering consistency and work-life balance Ongoing training and professional developmentOpportunity to grow within a supportive and expanding organisation TPBN1_UKTJ
