Welding Instructor, Tipton

We are recruiting for a company based locally to Tipton for a Welding Instructor who is confident and hands on with strong experience in MMA Stick Welding to train between 18 and 40 apprentices to NDT standards. What will you need to be considered for this opportunity? Minimum Qualifications/Experience * Previously qualified to, and with an up to date competence in a specific trade skill within the Engineering Construction Industry * Trade experience on thermal, nuclear and petrochemical contracts or off site Charge-hand or instructional duties. * Confidence with MMA Stick Welding. * Experience training apprentices ? either in an instructor position or from a previous supervisory/charge hand role. Preferred Qualifications * Instructional Techniques, City & Guild 7407 or Cert Ed or PTLLS, CTLLS or DTLLS (Prepare, Certificate or Diploma in teaching lifelong learning sector) * First Aid * TDLB D32/33 Assessor, A1 or TAQA * TDLB D34, V1 or IQA * CCNSG Passport * ECITB ACIC Approval What's on offer? * An hourly rate of £15.50/hour but potential to be flexible * Friendly and approachable team. * Long term, permanent and local position. * Rewarding position. Interview Process Please be aware that the interview will involve an in-depth trade test to NDT standard on TIG Carbon, TIG Stainless and Triggered Stick Fill and Cap Carbon so the applicant must be confident in their welding abilities and be prepared for this trade test.
