Engineering Estimator and Operations Coordinator

ABOUT THE ROLE

Everard Garage Equipment is looking to appoint an Engineering Estimator who will also work closely with the Operations Director to support the estimating, coordination, and day to day flow of projects across the business.

This role sits between commercial, engineering, and operations. You will take responsibility for pricing and estimating garage equipment installation projects while helping to keep projects, communication, and priorities moving in the right direction.

It suits someone with an engineering or technical background who wants broader exposure beyond estimating alone.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating and Commercial Responsibilities

• Reviewing project requirements, drawings, and specifications for garage equipment installations.
• Producing accurate cost estimates covering materials, labour, plant, and subcontract services.
• Preparing quotations and supporting commercial documentation.
• Liaising with customers to clarify technical and commercial details during the quotation process.
• Supporting pricing discussions and workload planning with the Operations Director.

Operations and Project Coordination

• Working closely with the Operations Director on projects from order stage through to completion.
• Coordinating information between engineering teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Managing and prioritising the Operations Director’s email inbox where required, ensuring actions are picked up and progressed.
• Supporting project tracking, scheduling, and coordination across multiple live jobs.
• Acting as a central point of contact for project and commercial queries.

Desirable experience

• Engineering Estimator
• Project Engineer / Manager
• Estimator from construction or mechanical engineering environments
• Engineer with strong commercial awareness
• Understanding of installation led projects rather than product only sales.
• Experience supporting or working alongside senior operational leadership.

• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Commercially aware and comfortable working with pricing and cost detail.
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
• Proactive approach with the ability to anticipate issues and keep work moving.
• Comfortable working closely with senior management and acting as a point of coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and a structured working style.

Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
