The school are seeking a bank of Teaching Assistants who can provide day to day and longer term support across the school - part time and full time work available to fit around you! Your new role In this role, you will be required to provide crucial support to pupils with Profound and Severe Learning Difficulties. You will be required to support pupils during lessons as well as during meal times, breaks and outdoor play. You will support the class teacher to provide the best level of care and education to promote pupils learning and development. You may also need to provide personal care to pupils, for example help with toileting and feeding. What you'll need to succeed For this role, you will have experience of working of working children and/or young people in some capacity (nursery/pre-school. school, youth work, respite care). You will ideally be team teach, MAPA or Makaton trained. You will have a good standard of literacy and numeracy. You will also need to have a caring and empathetic approach and work in the best interests of the pupils you are supporting. You will have good communication skills and be able to work as part of a wider team.
