Mechanical Maintenance Technician Near Sleaford, Lincolnshire £33k neg dep exp + benefits Our client has a rich heritage spanning almost 200 years and is recognised globally as a market leading provider of bespoke solutions to the renewable energy and power plant sector. As a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Mechanical Maintenance Technician to complement their established and successful Sleaford based team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Maintenance Technician will work on an 8am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday basis and be responsible for the mechanical planned preventative and reactive breakdown maintenance and repair activities and coordination of 3rd party suppliers, ensuring the plant is maintained with respect to safety, environmental, OEM and industry recognised best practice guidelines in order to deliver the highest levels of availability, reliability and efficiency. As Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will undertake practical application and timely diagnosis, fault finding and scheduled/unscheduled repair and maintenance activities on all mechanical plant and systems, and both ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance work is completed and updated within the CMMS and that relevant site engineering and maintenance procedures and management instructions are complied with at all times, undertaking reviews of such documents as required. You will also provide support and input into the sites engineering integrity strategy and asset risk register, for all mechanical assets. You will also undertake and support the daily PPM activities in line with the agreed CMMS plan, liaising with HSEQ and operations colleagues and submitting the required CMMS/Safety System documents and RAMS within the locally agreed timeframes, and undertake proactive measures to improve plant reliability, efficiency and performance, whilst maintaining overall plant integrity in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. You will own or provide contract ownership to a number of 3rd party contract providers to assist in the delivery of all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, that will potentially include but not be limited to: LOLER & PSSR WSE - Cranes/SaFed lift service, tackle & ladder inspection TSA, NDT and VA Access and Insulation / Valve and Pump / air compressors and dryers Oil and grease supplies + Lubrication schedule and general building maintenance and civils and steam turbines, combustion systems, generators and flue gas emission abatement HVAC,LEV and Fire extinguishers Workshop machines Inc. hydraulic and pneumatic tooling(HAV) Ensure the mechanical spares including strategic spares are controlled, replenished in line with agreed levels and secured at all times. Experience of permit to work and safety systems / WSE (LOLER/PSSR)To be considered for this varied and challenging role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to at least ONC level in Mechanical Engineering and will demonstrate at least 4 years previous practical thermal / process plant operational experience along with a good understanding of all HSE aspects. A full UK driving licence is essential for the position as is the ability to work on a shift basis if required.
