Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Edinburgh, £29,500 + 30% Shift Premium Our manufacturing client are currently looking to a hire a permanent Maintenance Engineer with an electrical background to provide repair and maintenance to machinery and equipment within the factory. Main Areas of responsibility: To assess all relevant maintenance and repair situations concerning production equipment and buildings In the absence of immediate supervisor, assess and prioritise your own workload Ensures operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and responding to equipment faults. Installs new machines and equipment Repairs equipment by diagnosing malfunctioning apparatus and breakdowns. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance Maintains mechanical equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level Conserves electrical maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Maintains technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. This role is shift based, working a 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm rotation Monday to Friday of which a 30% uplift would be paid. Candidates applying must have an 18th edition qualification along with relevant experience. Position is based South of Edinburgh. Roles is commutable from Edinburgh, Musselburgh, Dunbar, North Berwick, Tranent, Leith, Dalkeith, Melrose, Jedburgh, Gorebridge, Prestonpans, Loanhead.
