Registered Nurse Permanent Full Time ? 3 or 4 Nights per week Up to £17.00 per hour plus benefits Edinburgh - South * Medium sized Nursing Home * Good reputation and quality group * Luxury home * Old Age, Dementia We are currently looking to appoint a Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) for permanent Nights in a luxury Nursing Home in the Edinburgh - South area. As Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) ? Nights you?ll be working with older people, some with dementia whilst delivering the highest levels of nursing care to the best of your ability. You?ll be experienced and passionate about your career and this area of nursing and you?ll go out of your way to ensure that residents have fulfilling lives. Here are some of the key requirements of the role as Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN): * Provide leadership and support for care staff and act as a champion for residents safety and dignity * Ensure the ongoing safety of residents, staff and visitors through systematic assessment, monitoring and reviewing processes. * Ensure that clear and accurate records and communication systems relating to clinical and care delivery are maintained and effectively used * Administer medication accurately and maintain safe storage and records * Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practice * Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure that residents receive the medical and clinical support they require * Promote the professional image of the services through excellent communication, appropriate behaviour and professional appearance * Be knowledgeable about Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults Policies and Procedures and report any untoward events in accordance with company policy and Local Authority requirements * Ensure effective and clearly documented handover systems are maintained to facilitate the effective transfer of information between staff and shifts * Attend and participate in nurse and staff meetings as arranged by the Home Manager/Clinical Lead * Understand the requirements of the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (2008) in relation to consent and best interest decision making * Act at all times within own competence and knowledge in line with NMC registration requirements.
