We have a fantastic opportunity for a Paintshop Operative to join our Commercial & Industrial Division, based at our site in Ballinamallard.

Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.

The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!

In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective coatings to steelwork according to precise specifications as it progresses through our factory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation: Ensure that the steel pieces have the correct blast profile and are clean, free from contaminants, and ready for the application of protective coatings.
• Application: Apply the appropriate protective coatings to the steelwork, ensuring that all products are applied to the correct thickness and meet the specified standards.
• Quality Control: Measure and verify the wet film thickness of the coatings to confirm that they meet the required specifications. Check the finished product for any defects and ensure a high‑quality finish is achieved.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper handling and storage of coating materials and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role, specifically working with steelwork and protective coatings.
• Familiarity with the use of coating equipment and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specifications accurately.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
