Trustees - Emersons Green Village Hall - Volunteer, Epsom

We are seeking new Trustees for Emersons Green Village Hall, a charity that runs the community centre and provides services for the local community. Trustees play a key role in shaping the future of the hall, guiding its strategic direction, and ensuring its financial viability.

• Attend bi‑monthly Board Meetings (up to two hours each), usually held on Tuesday evenings, via Microsoft Teams or in person.
• Participate in the annual General Meeting (AGM).
• Provide strategic oversight and governance as a board director.
• Offer additional support to operational staff between meetings if desired.
• Complete necessary paperwork, including a basic DBS Check, before starting the role.

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Experience in safeguarding, accountancy, banking, marketing or facilities management is preferred.
• Interest in attending activities or events at the Hall demonstrates community engagement.

Volunteer role with a minimum time commitment of approximately two hours per month. Meetings last up to two hours and are held on a hybrid basis (Microsoft Teams or in person).

Emersons Green Village Hall is a community charity that operates the namesake village hall, hosts events, runs activities, and hires out its rooms. Our aim is to be at the heart of the community.
