The Role

As a Part-Qualified / Newly Qualified Accountant, you will manage a mixed portfolio of clients and work closely with senior members of the team across accounts, tax and advisory assignments.

This is a broad role offering excellent client exposure and the opportunity to continue developing your technical and commercial skills within a supportive practice environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts under FRS 105 and FRS 102 1AManaging a mixed portfolio of clients across a variety of industriesSupporting with corporation tax compliance and related client queriesAssisting clients with cloud accounting software and finance-related mattersPreparing and reviewing VAT returns, including exposure to partial exemption calculations under guidance from the tax departmentLiaising directly with clients and building strong working relationshipsSupporting senior team members with ad-hoc advisory and compliance workManaging deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficientlyWorking collaboratively across the wider practice teamRequirementsThe Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will likely have:

ACA or ACCA part-qualified, or newly qualifiedPrevious experience within a UK accountancy practice environmentStrong organisational and portfolio management skillsExperience preparing accounts for a range of clients and industriesGood knowledge of cloud accounting software such as XeroExperience using CaseWare would be advantageousFamiliarity with TaxCalc would also be beneficialSome VAT knowledge, including exposure to VAT calculations and compliance workStrong communication skills and confidence working directly with clientsA proactive and professional approach with strong attention to detailBenefitsWhat’s on OfferCompetitive salary dependent on experience and qualification levelStudy support and holiday allowance adjustments for active ACA/ACCA studentsStrong client exposure and hands-on responsibilitySupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to work with a strong and varied corporate client baseExcellent long-term progression opportunities within the firm
