We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business that is looking to recruit a Spot Welder Operative to join their production team.

What’s the role all about?

As a Spot Welder Operative, you’ll be responsible for operating resistance welding equipment to manufacture precision components in line with production and quality standards. This is a hands‑on role where attention to detail, consistency and quality are key. You’ll work closely with production and quality teams to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to specification.

Key responsibilities

• Operate resistance welding machinery and associated production equipment
• Manufacture components in line with engineering drawings and work instructions
• Carry out visual inspections and quality checks on finished products
• Ensure products meet required quality standards and specifications
• Support production targets and delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation
• Identify and report faults, defects or production issues
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace organisation
• Follow all health, safety and quality procedures
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams

What you’ll need

• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Previous experience operating machinery or production equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality awareness
• Ability to follow engineering drawings or work instructions
• Good manual dexterity and practical skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team

Desirable

• Previous resistance welding experience
• Experience working with small precision components
• Knowledge of quality inspection techniques
• Experience within aerospace, automotive or precision engineering environments
