The successful applicant will possess both good time management skills and strong communication skills.The post involves shift work and rostered Saturday working.Key responsibilities:Accurately input information into TOPS and Spinnaker systemsAdvise Duty Managers of any TOPS/Spinnaker discrepancies that may adversely affect operationsPlan train loading activitiesDeliver customer import documentation to Train Loading SupervisorsInput accurate import figuresProvide general clerical support to the teamReport all missed containers to the relevant parties within FLIMReport and record all damage to FLIM/PlannersIssue loading lists in a timely manner to Train Loading Supervisors, including any amendmentsLiaise with planners and operational staff to ensure the smooth running of the terminalAbout youStrong attention to detail.Good IT and computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook).Flexible approach to work duties and working hours.Reliable and self-motivated.Enthusiastic team player.Confident decision maker.Strong communication skills.Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectivelyDesirablePrevious experience of the TOPS and Spinnaker systemsFreightliner is the UK's largest maritime intermodal logistics operator, transporting containers from all major deep-sea ports to our national network of inland terminals, as well as a leading operator in the UK Heavy Haul rail freight market.
