Description

Master Scheduler

Manufacturing role based in Glenrothes (or Livingston). 12‑month fixed‑term contract, full time (37 hours per week).

Security clearance required: baseline (BPSS). Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating the Master Production Schedule for assigned programs. Serve as a key point of contact for the Integrated Program team to ensure customer commitments are met.
  • Support company Gate reviews – generate a Master Schedule upon receipt of Purchase Orders.
  • Chair Monthly Master Production Schedule reviews for each assigned program, producing the Monthly Production dashboard (top‑level output).
  • Prepare and communicate weekly work schedule (Weekly Targets) to the production team via daily morning production meetings.
  • Ensure the Master Production Schedule fulfills the customer order book and aligns with inventory and On‑Time Delivery targets; manage/realign schedule changes as required through periodic reviews.
  • Provide labour resource requirement plans for each assigned program to the Operations management team, aligning on load levelling targets (top level/lower‑level sub‑assembly).
  • Develop capacity 'What If' simulation models for the end‑to‑end manufacturing process.
  • Forecasting – work with programme management to understand the 18‑month outlook for future forecasted orders and translate input into headcount requirements.

Qualifications
  • Proven record in a Master Scheduling role with strong understanding and exposure to Operations, Engineering, Logistics and Sales.
  • SAP experience essential.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical, numerically astute with strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Time‑management, prioritisation, and goal‑achievement skills.
  • Self‑driven, results‑oriented, quality focused.
  • Team player, innovative, sound judgement, solution‑driven.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
