General Services Porter/Driver

Band 2

2 x 15 hours per week

Permanent

Responsibilities

• Deliver portering duties within wards, departments, and office areas.
• Support patient care in line with organisational priorities.
• Perform driving duties to facilitate patient discharges and urgent transport requests.
• Work weekends and Monday early shift as required.

Qualifications

• High level of competence in domestic activities.
• Flexibility and knowledge of NHS Borders Behavioural Framework.

Regulatory Requirements

Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, the post may require a different level of criminal records check. If assessed as a regulated role, appointment will be subject to the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
