SEN Teaching Assistant, Gateshead

Setting: Primary School, Gateshead Location: Gateshead Salary: £65 - 70 per day Contract type: Temporary Contract term: Long term, part time Job starts: ASAP We are currently working on behalf of a primary school within Gateshead looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant in their year 4 class to support a pupil with additional needs. This is to work on a part tirme basis, mornings only, Monday - Friday 15 hours per week. he Head Teacher has requested that the successful candidate has a passion and drive for becoming a member of the wider school community and will show willingness to complete any CPD inset training alongside other staff. Key responsibilities and requirements for this role will include: > Supporting a pupil with additional needs in all areas of the primary curriculum and taking responsibility for the progress of a small group of children > Organising the classroom and learning resources and creating displays to encourage a positive learning environment > Motivating with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation and maintaining discipline > Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development > Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress at parents' evenings and other meetings An enhanced DBS check will be needed for successful candidates as well as two satisfactory references which will be sought upon application for this post
