Humanities Mentor, Chatham

Humanities Mentor, Chatham
Description

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Humanities Mentor (Geography & History) to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role, supporting teaching and learning across the school while helping to bring our curriculum to life.

The successful candidate will provide cover for teachers when required, ensuring continuity and a positive classroom experience for pupils. When not covering lessons, they will play a key role in supporting the Humanities department through administrative tasks and the creation of engaging displays that celebrate student work and inspire curiosity.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for History and Geography, who enjoys working with young people and can build positive relationships with pupils. Creativity, initiative and a willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school are essential.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a future in teaching or looking to gain valuable school‑based experience, while making a meaningful contribution to students’ learning and engagement in the Humanities.

In return, we will offer you:

  • An incredibly supportive group of colleagues and leaders
  • Comprehensive induction programme with a commitment to CPD
  • Care first employee assistance programme
  • Non‑contributory membership of Benenden Private Health Care Cover
  • Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Two‑week half term in October
  • Cycle to work scheme
