Job Title: Estimator Type: Permanent Location: Glasgow Salary: Negotiable + Generous Company Benefits & Company Bupa Healthcare Car/Allowance The Company My client is successful, dynamic and growing contracting business who work within Civil Engineering, Construction and Utilities sectors. They are currently growing year on year in the UK and have a healthy turnover. As a result of increased workload, they are looking to hire an experienced Civils Estimator to assist the Project Management team in commercial activities across complex Heavy Civils projects in Scotland. The Role My client is currently looking for an Estimator with experience of large/heavy civil projects such as Harbour Extensions, Marine Works, Coastal Defence, Water Treatment Facilities and Rail (non live) The role with begin in a Covid Safe office and then move to remote working with minimal office requirements for the foreseeable. Responsibilities include: Reviewing tender documents and highlighting any potential issues Taking off and the production of procurement schedules Pricing and producing tender submissions from first principles Analytical estimating; producing net cost estimates Preparing tender adjudication documents Liaison with clients and Consultants as required The Candidate . Will have at least 5 years' experience across Large Civils or preferably Highways Projects. The candidate will understand and influence the commercial performance of the projects. Possess a considerable knowledge of civil engineering and the construction industry. - Regard to the EHV-related civils arena groundworks, reinforced concrete, substation civils - Have at least 3+ years as an estimator Will be comfortable working with multiple senior managers and interfacing with the client
