SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary, Sutton Coldfield

TeacherActive are currently working with a Special Primary School in Sutton Coldfield who are looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant with experience working with pupils with Autism and Complex Needs. Initially the school are looking to appoint on an ongoing temporary basis, but this role could become permanent for the correct candidate. This role will start off with you supporting the classroom as a SEN Teaching Assistant and with training and support from the SLT, there is the potential to move into a Learning/Behaviour Mentor role should you be interested. The school are looking for a long term, committed staff member to join the passionate and experienced Learning Mentors and Learning Support Assistant team. The role will include joining the team and providing support to pupils with Autism and SEN statements and will be responsible for supporting the behaviour, learning and progress of these students. The ideal candidate will have 'Team Teach' or ?MAPA? training and a good understanding of the needs and techniques used to support pupils with Autism and Complex Needs. This school specialises a creative and nurturing approach and focus on life skills providing education for pupils with Autism and Complex Needs aged from 3-11 years.
