Duty Manager Secure Childrens Residential Services Location: Bishopbriggs, East Dunbartonshire Contract: Permanent (37.5 hours per week) Salary:£43,736 - £48,691 (depending on experience and qualifications) Overview We are recruiting for an experienced Duty Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of a secure residential care service for children and young people.This role carries full operational oversight while on shift, so experience in residential or secure care is essential. You will ensure a safe, nurturing, and trauma-informed environment, supporting both young people and staff. Key Responsibilities Provide visible leadership and oversee daily service operationsTake full operational responsibility during shifts, including incident response Ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and safeguarding requirements Supervise and support staff, promoting reflective practice and development Manage rotas and resources to maintain continuity of care Maintain accurate records and work collaboratively with partners and agenciesAbout You Mandatory managerial experience in residential or secure care Proven leadership experience with operational responsibility Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding Calm, resilient, and confident in decision-making Excellent communication and team leadership skillsRequirements SVQ 3 Social Services - Children and Young People (or equivalent) is essential.
