The successful candidate will provide comprehensive eye care, perform surgical procedures when required, and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.#### Key ResponsibilitiesExamine, diagnose, and treat eye diseases, injuries, and vision disordersPrescribe medications, corrective lenses, and other treatmentsPerform surgical and non-surgical ophthalmic procedures as requiredMonitor and manage chronic eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degenerationInterpret diagnostic tests including visual field tests, OCT, and imagingEducate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and post-treatment careMaintain accurate and up-to-date medical recordsCollaborate with optometrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionalsStay current with advancements in ophthalmology and best clinical practices### Qualifications and RequirementsMedical degree (MBBS or equivalent)Registered with the GMCCompletion of an accredited Ophthalmology residency/training programValid medical license to practiceBoard certification or eligibility (preferred, depending on location)Strong clinical, diagnostic, and surgical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCommitment to patient-centered care and medical ethics#### ExperienceYou will have 5 years NHS (UK) experience in ophthalmologySubspecialty experience (e.g., retina, cornea, paediatric ophthalmology) is an advantage#### Work EnvironmentHospital, eye clinic, or private practice settingMay involve outpatient clinics, operating theatres, and emergency consultations#### **Locations Available:*** GlasgowWhat you will need* Must be registered to the GMC* Licence to practice up to date* Right to work in the UK and live in the UK* PVGDon't delay, apply today #J-18808-Ljbffr
