Business Advisory Manager (Landed Estates), Glasgow

We are looking for a Business Advisory Manager to join our team. Location is flexible across our Scottish offices.

Recruit a manager to work closely with Client Relationship Managers, responsible for completion and review of work from an allocated portfolio of clients operating in landed estates.

This role would be ideal for a candidate looking to take the next step in their career, whether currently in Business Advisory or someone with relevant and transferable skills and experience looking to make a transition from industry. It is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm with future potential of managing your own client list.

• Plan and manage the timely and profitable completion of a portfolio of client work, which may include year‑end and management accounts, corporate and personal tax returns, VAT returns, budgets and forecasts for selected clients, liaising with Client Relationship Managers and Specialists across the business as required.
• Review the work of assistants/seniors, providing feedback and coaching.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contacts and colleagues.
• Engage and consult actively with our Specialists, coordinating their involvement in advisory work and identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
• Deal with ad‑hoc client queries, telephone calls and meetings.
• Perform portfolio management duties including client take‑on, fee preparation and WIP/debt management.

• Leaders of your work and your professional learning.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others.
• Relevant experience in this or a similar role is preferred.
• ICAS, ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• Forward‑thinking with the ability to embrace technology and strong IT skills.
• Experience in using accounts and tax software packages.
• Good working knowledge of clients’ accounting systems.
