Local Authority Designated Officer, GL1 2TG

We have partnered with a long standing client to assist in the recruitment for a Local Authority Designated Officer on a 3-4 month contract. You will undertake initial discussions regarding referrals coming into the LADO officer on whether they meet the 'Allegations Management' thresholds. You will chair multi agency allegations management meetings for all children and young people considered to be at risk from someone working or volunteering with them in accordance with the safe-guarding children broad.  Regularly provide information on practice and outcomes for children and for adults about whom an allegation is made in accordance with team processes and standards. You will contribute highly to team and individual development through team meetings and supervision. You will ensure effective maintenance of computerised information systems in relation Allegations Management. In order to be successful you must have In-depth post qualification experience working with children and their families, in-depth post qualification experience working with partnership agencies and service providers. Be able to work effectively in a very sensitive environment, to challenge assertively whilst maintaining professional integrity and delivering difficult messages with sensitivity. You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle.  This is a temporary vacancy starting on the 21st September for 3 - 4 months, paying £40.00 per hour.
