Java Opportunity - Cyber Crime Startup - Gloucestershire

Are you a Java software engineer who is interested in leveraging technology to help fight Cyber Crime? I have up to 6 vacancies open with a start-up based in Gloucestershire, who have been working fully remote for the past 6 months now due to COVID-19. Previously to that, they were doing 3 days remote per week and are open to even more flexibly moving forwards due to the success they have seen working remotely. If you're someone with a passion for working with fast-paced start-ups and enjoy an endless variety of projects? they do a mixture of consultancy work and have their own product which has been created by the result of numerous hours spent on in-depth research, analysis, and designing a highly intelligent platform that is enabling companies to better assess risks and prevent fraud. The team is highly experienced and comes from a mixed background of ex-special forces, ex-detective police sergeants so overall have some incredible industry knowledge around Crime and Security. They are working within a DevOps culture, with the use of public cloud provides such as AWS, and expect their software engineers to get involved with the full lifecycle from design, inception, development, deployment, and support. If you have the interest to work with non-mainstream technologies such as Graph Databases (ArangoDB, Neo4J, OrientDB), this would be a great role to step into and expand your skillset further and really push some boundaries. This is a very exciting business, who are about to receive their Series B funding and taking their growth of the engineering team to the next level - which is why I have partnered up to help support with this. We are looking for engineers with good knowledge of the following: Java 8/11 and/or Java Enterprise Edition Tools such as Maven, Git, Modern IDE (IntelliJ IDEA) Experienced with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MYSQL, Arango DB) Experience designing/developing container-based MicroservicesCultural wise, we are looking for forward-thinking engineers who have great communication, who can work in an organised and timely manner.
