LGS Supervisor, GL2

Imperial Professionals are delighted to be working exclusively with a rapidly expanding modular housing organisation based in Gloucester. We are recruiting for an LGS (Light Gauge Steel) Supervisor on a permanent basis to join their team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to start from the beginning of an exciting new project that will shake up an industry in the UK and across the world. The factory is being built now and we want to start off on the right footing employing someone to oversee production and report back to higher management. Opportunities to develop and travel will be available for the right individual. This roll would suit an experienced supervisor wanting to step up into a factory roll, taking care of a small team that you can take a part in selecting. Overall Responsibilities: * Ensuring all production targets and standards are met on the production lines, safely, on time and on cost * Supervise Health and Safety on the line and in the factory * Ensure onsite test lab has control of quality * Managing output and downtime targets * Ensure quality standards are adhered to at all times * Communicate line targets and progress to operating team on a weekly basis * Closely supervise operating teams - implementing new processes/procedures * Develop sound knowledge of all machinery on the lines and basic operating ability. * Ensure Maintenance schedules are being followed * Manage any training requirements * Attend daily production meetings, report on previous days output * Managing day to day staff queries and ensure return to work interviews and initial incident investigations are carried out. To be considered for the position of LGS Supervisor you will have: * Excellent team management/supervisory skills and the ability to communicate all at levels * Knowledge of Roll forming * Well organised & Excellent attention to detail * Ability to interpret designs and ensure machinery performs to a high standard * FLT licence * Working knowledge of health & safety practices You will also have a background in one of the following: * LGS ? Light Gauge Steel * Building products * Concrete Forming/ renders or screeds * GFRC (GRC) * Mixing/batching This role would be well suited to a candidate keen to progress in the future.
