Chef de Partie - Prestigious Venue Near Howden

We are recruiting for an experienced Chef de Partie to join our client's prestigious venue near Howden. This role is initially offered on a temporary basis, with a strong opportunity to become a permanent position following a successful trial period.

About the Role

As a Chef within the kitchen team, you will play an integral part in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills in a professional, fast‑paced environment while working to a high culinary standard.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and document daily kitchen requirements prior to service
• Prepare and organise food preparation areas, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with COSHH and HACCP guidelines
• Support the Head Chef in developing and maintaining a strong, efficient team
• Address and resolve customer feedback and complaints promptly and professionally
• Monitor kitchen operations to ensure all sanitation standards are consistently met
• Ensure all food products are fresh, within date, and suitable for preparation

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Proven experience working in banqueting or large-scale functions
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, processes, and equipment
• Ability to follow instructions effectively and work independently when required
• Solid understanding of food preparation and presentation
• Experience maintaining and caring for kitchen utensils and equipment
• Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
• A proactive mindset, with an interest in menu development and innovation
• Excellent teamwork skills
• Own transport, due to the remote location of the venue

Hours, Pay and Benefits

• Full-time position (minimum 40 hours per week)
• Temporary position with the opportunity to become permanent
• Pay rate: £12.71 - £14 per hour, depending on experience
