Marie Curie Community Healthcare Assistant (Argyll & Bute)

Part‑time – 18 hours per week | Permanent | Night shifts (10:00pm–7:00am)

Salary: £26,696 – £28,988 per year. Contract: Permanent, Part‑time. Location: Community‑based, work from home and travel within a 25‑mile radius across Argyll & Bute (Lochgilphead, Tarbert, Campbeltown, Helensburgh).

About the role

Working overnight in patients’ homes, you will provide holistic, personalised care that supports comfort, dignity and emotional wellbeing for patients and their families. You will act as a vital presence during some of life’s most challenging moments, offering a calm and reassuring presence that helps families feel safe and supported.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate community nursing care in patients’ homes during overnight shifts.
• Support patients’ comfort, dignity, emotional wellbeing and safety.
• Work independently overnight while remaining part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Attend to the needs of patients and their carers, including at night.

What we’re looking for

• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
• SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards this).
• A caring, compassionate and person‑centred approach.
• Confidence working independently overnight within a wider clinical team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
