About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Dealer Accountant to oversee dealership financial operations, stock management, and dealer account administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring inventory and stock movement, supporting dealership operations, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for dealership transactions and operations
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports
• Reconcile dealer accounts, customer ledgers, supplier accounts, and bank statements
• Process invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries accurately
• Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and cash flow activities
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records
• Track stock movement, transfers, damages, shortages, and adjustments
• Reconcile physical stock with system records regularly
• Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams regarding stock availability
• Prepare stock valuation and inventory-related financial reports
• Ensure proper documentation for stock purchases, sales, and returns
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner
• Support daily dealership operational activities and reporting
• Maintain dealer/customer account records and transaction histories
• Coordinate with sales teams to ensure accurate pricing, invoicing, and deal processing
• Monitor dealership performance and profitability reports
• Assist in managing supplier and customer relationships
• Ensure compliance with dealership operational procedures and internal controls
• Support management with business performance analysis and operational improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in dealership accounting, inventory management, or trading operations
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and stock control procedures
• Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, numerical, and reconciliation skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
