Class 1 Driver, South Ockendon

We are recruiting class 1 drivers for our client in South Ockendon.

Shifts Sunday to Thursday - 17.50 per hour.

As a Class 1 Driver, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding service to our customers across the UK. In this position, you will:

* Take responsibility for collections and deliveries, operating a curtain-sided trailer with professionalism and care.

* Ensure every load is safely secured, using ratchet straps and carrying out some manual handling to maintain the highest safety standards.

* Use a handheld PDA to complete all delivery documentation accurately and efficiently, keeping the process smooth and streamlined.

* Maintain regular communication with our transport team, providing updates on progress to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.

* Participate in ongoing training and development, staying up to date with industry best practices and continuously enhancing your skills.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

* Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.

* Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.

* Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.

* Passionate about providing excellent customer service.

* Ability to work to deadlines.

* Confident, polite, and a team player.

* Good geographical knowledge.

* Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
