Mayfield Ward Support Volunteer, Grays

Days of the week: Mon – Fri
Hours: 9:00 – 17:00
Commitment: Minimum of 6 months
Volunteering hours not to exceed 6 hours per day and 3 days per week

• General patient interaction and facilitation of recreational groups for geriatric patients in an inpatient rehabilitation unit
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including physiotherapists and occupational therapists
• Attend local ward training sessions to improve skills for ward work

• Enthusiastic and keen to work with older adults in a rehabilitation setting
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Professional attire suitable for inpatient work

• Reasonable travel expenses reimbursed upon receipt submission
• Meal allowance up to £5 per day for shifts exceeding 4 hours, reimbursed upon receipt submission
