MOT Tester, DN31

Role: MOT Tester Rate: £15.00 per hour Contract: Permanent Shifts: 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm The Role: To conduct MOT inspections, issue MOT documentation and ensure the compliance with the MOT certification process in accordance with VOSA (Vehicle and Operator Services Agency) and company expectations. Responsibilities: * To conduct servicing and repairs to vehicles * Perform MOT tests to the standards instructed by VOSA * To carry out mechanical repairs as and when required * To perform diagnostic testing to identify faults * To ensure all equipment is maintained and safely used in accordance with the manufacturers guide and Company processes * Forecast & estimate the damage to Vehicles * Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and on time * Ability to maintain a safe and productive work environment * Ensure the quality of work is maintained to a consistent high standard * To inform the designated supervisor / appointed person of any failings Candidate Requirements: * Experienced in a similar role * Relevant qualification / education to perform MOT Testing. * Ideally have minimum of 3 years? experience as a Vehicle Technician * Must have level 1, 2 & 3 City & Guilds/ NVQ in Vehicle Repair or similar * Good current technical knowledge of modern vehicles and systems * Ideally have experience with diagnostics, both electronic and mechanical * High level of mechanical repair skill * Good problem solving skills * Flexibility in working hours as per business needs * Must have a full UK driving licence
