Community Pharmacist

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Community Pharmacist to join a busy and friendly pharmacy team. The successful candidate must be confident working independently and able to dispense medication without supervision while providing excellent patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medication accurately and safely.
• Carry out prescription checks to ensure patient safety.
• Provide advice to patients on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and treatment plans.
• Assist patients with over-the-counter medication and minor health concerns.
• Work closely with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality at all times.
• Support and guide pharmacy staff when required.
• Ensure all pharmacy procedures and health & safety regulations are followed.
• Manage medication stock and ensure medicines are stored correctly, including controlled drugs.
• Deliver professional and friendly customer service at all times.

Requirements

• Current GPHC registration.
• Qualified Pharmacist.
• Previous community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Able to work independently and dispense medication without supervision.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work well within a team and in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

• Previous UK pharmacy experience.
• Experience using pharmacy management systems.
• Experience working in busy community pharmacy settings.
