Job Title:Specialist Foster Carer (Ideal for Healthcare Assistants&Support Workers)
Location:Within 20 miles of Haslingden&Rossendale, Lancashire

Salary:£50,000 annual support package + additional allowances (see below)

To foster in the UK, you must meet all of the following requirements:
  • Be 21 years of age or over
  • Have a spare, dedicated bedroom in your home
  • Have experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults (professionally or personally)
  • Be a British citizen or hold Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK

If you've worked in roles likehealthcare assistance, mental health support, residential care, or learning disabilities services, you likely already have the nurturing skills and resilience needed to become an outstanding foster carer.

About the Role

This role supports young people stepping down from residential or high-support care settings. They may have experienced challenges in the past but are now ready to grow in a stable family environment.

We're looking for carers who can provide afull-time home, helping children remain in their schools and community networks. This isn't shift work-you'll become a child's main carer in your own home, with full wraparound support.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals or couples who:
  • Have experience inhealthcare, support work, or similar care-focused roles
  • Can offer a nurturing, stable, full-time home
  • Have aspare bedroomand afull UK driving licence
  • Are open to learning, support, and therapeutic approaches
  • Ideally don't have children under 16 at home (each situation is considered individually)


What You'll Receive

Financial Support:
  • £50,000 annual support package
  • Weekly fostering allowance (up to£258.79, approx.£13,453 per year)
  • Extra allowances for birthdays, holidays, and festive periods (up to£1,035 per year)

  • Regular support from an experienced foster carer
  • Specialist training, including therapeutic and trauma-informed care
