Role: Functional Assessor (Work Capability Assessment)

Location: Hastings (Hybrid – clinic + home-based working)

Salary: £41,612 (pro rata for part-time)

Hours: Full-time or part-time (3 or 4 days per week)

✅ What you’ll be doing

• Conducting face-to-face, telephone, and video assessments
• Evaluating how health conditions impact daily function and work capability
• Reviewing medical evidence and producing clear, objective reports
• Supporting fair and evidence-based decisions for the DWP
• Working in a non-treatment, assessment-based role

⚕️ Who we’re looking for

We welcome applications from:

• Nurses (RGN, RMN, RNLD)
• Physiotherapists
• Occupational Therapists
• Paramedics

You’ll also need:

• ✅ Active NMC or HCPC registration
• ✅ Minimum 12 months post-registration experience
• ✅ Strong communication and report-writing skills
• ✅ Confidence working independently and using IT systems
