Stores Operative, Havant

Our client, is currently seeking a Stores Operative to join their team on a contract basis. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient operation of their stores and ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly stored.

• Receiving, checking, and storing incoming materials and supplies
• Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock levels are kept at optimal levels
• Issuing materials to the relevant departments as needed
• Conducting regular stock checks and reconciling any discrepancies
• Ensuring the stores area is kept clean, organised, and compliant with safety regulations
• Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries as necessary
• Communicating effectively with other departments to meet their material requirements
• Utilising inventory management systems to track and manage stock levels

• Relevant experience in a stores or inventory management role within the Defence & Security sector
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Physical capability to handle and move stock and supplies
• Excellent communication skills
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to stores management
