Warehouse FLT Operative Wanted - Consistent Work & Weekly Pay

Location: Uckfield. Rotating shifts (subject to change). Early shift: Mon‑Fri 06:00‑13:00. Late shift: Mon‑Fri 11:00‑19:00.

We are recruiting a Warehouse Operative to support a busy print factory in Uckfield. This hands‑on role is suited to someone reliable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities include ensuring smooth goods‑in, stock control, and internal logistics between the warehouse and production areas. The position is temporary through The Best Connection and may lead to permanent employment.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Receiving, checking, and booking in stock including paper, inks and consumables
• Managing goods‑in and dispatch operations
• Maintaining accurate stock records through daily physical counts
• Strapping completed work and organising daily movement between factories
• Producing a simple daily stock report, including:
  • Completed stock counts
  • Internal stock transfers (warehouse machines)
  • Replenishment requirements from suppliers
  • Daily (or twice‑daily, volume‑dependent) house sheet and paper stock checks
• Liaising with production teams to prioritise work and resolve shortages
• Replenishing stock to ensure uninterrupted workflow
• Operating a counterbalance FLT to ensure stock is moved safely around the workshop

Health & Safety

• Adhere strictly to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Remain vigilant, alert and aware of surrounding risks at all times
