AV Engineer

An exciting opportunity for an AV Engineer to join a growing and innovative engineering company specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of motion-activated, interactive audio-visual systems. This role would suit a motivated, early-career engineer looking to develop their skills within a supportive and fast-growing business. Full training will be provided, along with opportunities for career progression.

The Role
This is a varied, hands-on position split between the company workshop in Hemel Hempstead and customer sites.

Workshop responsibilities include:

• Assembly of AV systems
• Configuration and testing of video projectors and PCs
• Light engineering tasks

Site-based responsibilities include:

• Installation of AV systems
• System handover and client training
• Servicing, fault diagnosis, and component replacement

Occasional overnight travel may be required.

About You
The successful candidate will have a background in electrical or electronic engineering, ideally supported by a good understanding of IT systems. You will be practical, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Key Requirements:

• Strong understanding of electrical and/or electronic systems
• Ability to build, install, and service bespoke AV equipment
• Knowledge of MS operating systems and PC architecture
• Experience in testing, fault finding, and product support
• Good communication skills with a professional, client-facing approach
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Physically fit and capable of hands-on work
• Full UK driving licence (company van provided)
• Located within reasonable commuting distance of Hemel Hempstead

Pay: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
