Finance Intern, Dacorum

A leading UK consumer and hospitality business is looking for a motivated and analytically minded Finance Intern to join its Finance team on a 12-month placement programme.

As part of the Finance Internship Programme, responsibilities may include:

• Supporting Finance Operations teams across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Accounting functions
• Assisting with weekly and monthly financial reporting
• Supporting reporting and analysis for operational stakeholders
• Producing ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
• Assisting with P&L analysis and finance queries
• Supporting Business Partnering and BI reporting teams
• Working with financial and operational data to identify trends and insights
• Supporting wider finance projects and process improvement initiatives

We’re looking for somebody who is commercially curious, highly numerate and eager to develop a long‑term career within finance or commercial analytics.

• Currently studying towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Business or a related discipline
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• A-Level grades of B or above, ideally within numerical subjects
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office skills
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrable interest in finance, analytics or commercial business operations
• Eagerness to learn, develop and build a long-term career within finance
• Interest in hospitality, retail or consumer-focused industries
• Experience analysing data or producing reports
• Exposure to finance, accounting or analytics modules during studies
• Interest in business intelligence or reporting tools
