Education/Qualification
Essential criteria
- RSCN or RN(Child) or LD
- Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration
- Evidence of post registration education and training
Desirable criteria
- School Nursing or Community Nursing /Specialist Practitioner Qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Acute paediatric experience, caring for children with complex health needs
- Experience of delivering teaching/training
- Experience of working with students
- Experience of working in a multi-professional team to safeguard children
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within a Special Needs School . Experience of Health Promotion/Public Health
- Experience of working within a Special Needs School . Experience of Health Promotion/Public Health
- Experience of safeguarding children with special needs
- Experience of immunisation
- Experience of managing staff
- Experience of working as a School Nurse or a Children's Community Nurse
Skills and Knowledge

- High standard of clinical expertise
