Education/Qualification

Essential criteria

• RSCN or RN(Child) or LD
• Nursing and Midwifery Council Registration
• Evidence of post registration education and training

Desirable criteria

• School Nursing or Community Nursing /Specialist Practitioner Qualification

Experience

Essential criteria

• Acute paediatric experience, caring for children with complex health needs
• Experience of delivering teaching/training
• Experience of working with students
• Experience of working in a multi-professional team to safeguard children

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working within a Special Needs School . Experience of Health Promotion/Public Health
• Experience of working within a Special Needs School . Experience of Health Promotion/Public Health
• Experience of safeguarding children with special needs
• Experience of immunisation
• Experience of managing staff
• Experience of working as a School Nurse or a Children's Community Nurse

Skills and Knowledge

• High standard of clinical expertise
